Lead training is a small business run by myself Laura with the support of my husband Steve.

I have grown up with dogs, so when moving into my first home it felt empty, it did not take long before I became the proud owner of two working cocker spaniels.

My training journey started not long after bringing Millie home as a puppy, all of a sudden It dawned on me we had bought this 8-week-old puppy home and I had very little experience of doing this with out the support of my Mum. I had overnight become solely responsible for this little puppy. I enrolled on a puppy training course and spent many hours working on our relationship with the hope it would help enhance the foundations of any training I completed or courses I attended. She very quickly became my best friend and working companion.

Seven years later Luna joined us. I wanted to be more prepared this time so I signed up in advance to a local Puppy training class at the WI Hall in East Farleigh with Claire and John.

It was from then I really started to pursue my passion of training and helping others. I continued to train Luna at every opportunity I had all the way through to the Advanced Gun Dog certification learning so much along the way. I also embarked on training two together so I could comfortably walk both of my dogs.

I started looking into various courses I could do and through Claire and John I met Robert Alleyne, my soon to be coach and mentor, I completed a 12-week instructors course along with completing two 18-month certifications in canine studies and canine training and behaviour via the open college network regulated by Ofqual.

I still to this day take part in extracurricular activities as with anything I am looking to build and strengthen my knowledge when it comes to training dogs.

Here I am today thoroughly enjoying passing on my knowledge and experiences through my work.

I strongly believe in setting you and your dog up to succeed, I understand every dog I meet is different to the one before, so I look to remain open minded and work only with the dog in front of me.
